I am going to tell you 4 cool facts about the sea.
Cool fact #1 : If all the oceans were to evaporate, the salt left behind would cover the entire planet with a layer of salt that was 50 meters (half a soccer field) thick.
Cool fact #2 : The salinity of the ocean is not uniform across the planet. Where the weather is hot and dry, more sea water is evaporated leaving salt behind and very little rain occurs to replenish the ocean. The Red Sea and the Mediterranean Sea have the highest salinity level.
Cool fact #3 : Deep ocean critters like Megamouth sharks and Gulper eels have huge jaws and mouths as wide as half their length. They have lips that glow in the extreme darkness of the deep ocean depths.
Cool fact #4 : A forest in the ocean can grow and disappear in a week.
